Making Dog and Cat Castings
To make dog and cat figures using casting compound from the silicone molds, add about 3 heaping tablespoons of casting powder per silicone mould to a mixing cup. This amount is a good guideline to ensure that the dog and cat figures come out cleanly and that the silicone molds are filled with enough casting compound.

Now gradually add water and stir thoroughly until you achieve a creamy, smooth consistency. This step is important because a well-mixed casting mixture will be less crumbly later on and will better capture the details of the master mold.

Carefully pour the mixture into the silicone molds. Make sure that every area is completely filled so that the ears, paws, and contours are sturdy. To prevent air bubbles from forming, gently tap the mold a few times. Do not lift the mold while doing this; this will prevent spillage and ensure the surface remains even.

Finally, remove the wire from the small butterflies and glue them in place with hot glue. Place them so that they serve as focal points—for example, along the edge, on leaves, or in the background.
