Variant 1
You need 22 blocks for the complete hanging basket.
Arrangement of the blocks
Start by placing 4 blocks crosswise in front of you, with one block between them. These blocks form the base for your hanging basket.
Building the side walls
Now glue another block on edge to the ends of each block. Repeat this process on both sides until each side consists of 5 blocks stacked on top of each other. Allow the glued areas to dry well so that the structure remains stable.
Attaching the ribbon
Cut a piece of macramé-ribbon of your preferred length. Tie one end of the ribbon to a block of your choice, creating a loop at the top. Tie the two loops together. This way you can easily hang up your hanging basket later.
Variant 2
You will need 24 blocks for the complete hanging basket.
Making the base plate
Glue 6 blocks together to form a sturdy base plate and leave to dry completely. In the meantime, you can glue 4 blocks together to form a frame and also leave to dry.
Connecting the frame and base plate
Saw through 2 blocks in the middle to use them later as connecting pieces. Glue the first frame around the base plate. Now glue half a block on each side into the frame with base plate in the corner.
Vertical structure and final assembly
Place the resulting structure on the side where you have already attached the half blocks. Glue the other frames on top, spacing them evenly apart. Finally, turn the traffic light so that you can also glue the half blocks in the corners that have not yet been processed.
Suspension with ribbon
Cut a piece of macramé-ribbon to size. Tie one end of the ribbon to each block to create a loop. These loops will also be used for hanging later.
